2005 Kidney Walks

Sunday, May 15, 2005
Goddard Memorial State Park

While it wasn't exactly swimming weather, our Rhode Island walkers enjoyed a tour of beautiful Goddard State park in East Greenwich, RI. Many vowed to return once the water warms up. Whatever the weather, our hearts are warmed by the fundraising zeal of NKF's loyal fans in Rhode Island. Get a taste of the event below and view additional photographs or order copies at www.basketballphoto.com, courtesy of NKF supporter Steve Lipofsky.

Saturday, May 21, 2005
Franklin Park Zoo, Boston, MA

The rain held off and walkers got to hang out with Mark Blount, shoot hoops, win prizes, have their faces painted and enjoy an abundant picnic after the walk. Enjoy a sampling of photos below, or view the day in pictures at www.basketballphoto.com, thanks to NKF supporter Steve Lipofsky.

RHODE ISLAND KIDNEY WALK

Setting the Pace

As usual, FMC Warwick brought the most walkers (and rollers).

Tony Lepore, Providence's "dancing cop" directs foot traffic.

A young lion king gets a ride.

Are we there yet?

BOSTON KIDNEY WALK

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Mark Blount helped entertain fans of all ages.

The event drew well over 1000 walkers, in spite of threatening skies.

Doesn't really seem like a fair match now, does it?

That's more like it!
