How
Can I Help?
Whether you work in the office, from home, or at a special event,
volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills or
keep old skills fresh, and give back to the community and the organization.
To
learn more aout specific volunteer opportunities, download our volunteer
job description file.
Donate
your time midweek
As with any non-profit, staffing at the National Kidney Foundation
of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont is limited,
with the amount of work to be done unlimited. If you have some computer
skills, are good on the phone or like to help with mailings and
have time during the week, then come volunteer at one of our offices
during the day.
Have
special skills? We can put them to great use.
We're particularly seeking people with marketing and media relations
skills, fundraising experience, graphic arts ability, web site design
and maintenance experience, and medical professionals to help with
KEEP screenings and outreach. Give us a call at the office (718-278-0222)
to talk about your interests and skills.
Serve
on a committee
Most NKF initiatives rely on a strong volunteer base. As a result
of this, a wide variety of committees exist within the organization
from patient services to fund development and event planning.
If you would like more information on how to lend your expertise
in the most appropriate manner, please give us a call.
Volunteer
for a special event
Throughout the year, the NKF hosts numerous special events including
Galas, Silent Auctions, Cadillac Golf Tournaments, and Gift of Life
Walks, to name a few. Every event counts on volunteers to run smoothly
and effectively!
