Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality InitiativeKidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative

The Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative or K/DOQI provides evidence-based clinical practice guidelines developed by volunteer physicians and health care providers for all stages of chronic kidney disease and related complications, from diagnosis to monitoring and management.

A list of national conferences, downloadable clinical action plans and the most current treatment guidelines are available through the National Kidney Foundation. We convene experts, summarize the evidence and turn it into useful practice tools, so you can provide your patients with the best possible treatment.

Did you know? Just three easy numbers provide a useful estimate of a patient's glomerular filtration rate, the basis for staging chronic kidney disease and determining appropriate treatment. The outcomes initiative also emphasizes the value of treating hypertension aggressively in kidney disease patients and of closely monitoring phosphate, calcium and parathyroid hormone in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Stay on top of the data, instead of being buried in it. Visit the K/DOQI site to sign up for newsletters and useful updates on kidney disease treatment.
